Overall, I was very happy with FujiFilm’s S5200 camera. Though it is in a murky region between the consumer and enthusiast level it has the features and performance which will satisfy any weekend photographer. This camera offers reliable shots which are of a quality with most consumers will be more than happy with. Even the battery life was good, our four AA batteries lasted for about 350 shots.

The FinePix S5600 Zoom is one of those cameras that gets better and better with use. It really grew on us as we explored the multitude of shooting options, and it helped immensely that it feels right in the hand. And that price is incredible.

Fuji has struck gold with this winning combination of versatility, great image quality and robust performance. With a street price of $399 or less, the S5200 offers an excellent value for an SLR style “super zoom” model. And, it can be used by any member of your family no matter what level of experience they have or what event you may be attending.

The Fujifilm S5200 is fast in a number of ways. For one thing, it starts up quickly: It was ready to shoot in about a second after we turned the power on, and shutter lag was less than half a second. That’s quick enough to ensure that you wouldn’t miss many shots.

The Fujifilm FinePix S5200 is still one of the best looking digital camera and should prove very popular to beginner and serious amateur photographers desiring a long zoom with flexible exposure control—now with low noise at high ISO capabilities.

The FinePix S5200 will be a satisfying camera for certain types of snapshooters: it’s the right camera for someone who wants something more versatile than a typical point-and-shoot, but whose primary uses are ones that a typical point-and-shoot could handle. With strong color reproduction and a sharp lens, the S5200 will do an excellent job taking that kind of picture. This camera is ideal for the user who won’t use the maximum zoom too much – if that focal length is important, then image stabilization is too.

The S5200 is able to produce very good images when used in good light, as well as with flash, and captures very precise colours. This, and the fact that the FinePix S5200 has a good ergonomic design borrowed from SLR-type cameras, a 5.1 megapixel resolution, a 10X zoom with a long reach, and a competitive price, should make it a very attractive camera.

This isn’t the smallest camera or the highest resolution you can find at this price, but it’s a reasonable all rounder at a good price; budget for some AA rechargeable batteries and a bigger card than the 16MB xD that’s included though.

For under £200 the Fuji S5600 offers big-camera handling in a small and easy-to-use package. It has lightning-fast performance, a good list of features, massive zoom range and amazingly good low-light capabilities. Image quality is generally very good under most circumstances, but how I wish Fujifilm could shake of those damn purple fringes.

The Fujifilm FinePix S5200 is a well-designed, well-built camera with very good performance. It’s a bit large, however, and artifacts in its photos may turn off some shooters.

The Fuji FinePix S5200 is a solid superzoom that takes good-quality stills and video clips, but its LCD could be bigger.

The easy-to-use Fujifilm FinePix S5200 offers a slew of advanced features for a low price. It takes great pictures, and its snappy start-up and shooting times ensure that you’ll almost always get the shot you want. While I can’t complain about the image quality for the most part, its low-light pictures do leave room for improvement.
