Even with image stabilisation on continuous there was the occasional blurred shot, though less than you’d get without. Switching to ‘shoot only’ was more reliable. There’s also occasional fringing in areas of high contrast, only visible when enlarging a small area. Colours were well saturated.

Canon’s SD700 IS was enjoyable and easy. In the picture quality area there is nothing to complain about because the SDF630 delivers outstanding photos with vivid color. It’s fast to turn on, power up and recycle time between shots seemed almost instantaneous.
