I highly recommended the Canon PowerShot A610 if you need a capable compact camera that produces excellent photos with print sizes of up 13×19 inches, has 4x zoom and uses AA batteries. Weather you want point-and-shoot simplicity or full manual control, the A610 delivers excellent results with sharp, pleasantly-colored photos.

Bottom line – Canon has struck gold with this winning combination of high-quality and low price. The A610 offers users outstanding image quality with robust performance, all in a stylish and very durable package. If you like the features of this camera, but would like a little more resolution and the ability of remote capture, check out its 7.1-megapixel twin brother,the PowerShot A620. It is almost identical in features with a price tag of about $100 more.

Bottom line, this is just an excellent “all around” digital camera, and an excellent bargain, at street prices a good $80 or more less than its 7-megapixel sibling the A620.

The Canon PowerShot A610 left behind a truly positive impression. The camera does keep its promises and is a worthy successor of the previous Canon A-series of digital cameras.

I was very happy with my purchase of the Canon A610 and am having fun finding out all the different things it can do and how it is better than my previous Canon digital camera. I would recommend Canon for digital cameras as they have gotten the technology down pat and are firmly the leaders in the market.
