Inspiration can come to you at any time. Be ready with the Nokia N73. This handy 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics is ready to shoot with a simple slide of the cover. Capture print quality photos and view them on a 2.4” screen. And the best part is the sharing. With a more intelligent and intuitive photo gallery organizing and sharing your favorite photos is simple and fun.

Falling only marginally short of the image quality produced by its gargantuan N93 sibling, Nokia’s N73 is a superb choice for shutterbugs with its excellent picture taking skills, a multitude of sharing options and compact size – but for some strange reason it skimps on memory. The basics have also been looked well after with first-rate calling and solid messaging capabilities under the hood alongside a raft of multimedia and productivity options; whether for pleasure or business, this one’s a winner.

Mobile Tech Review

If you’re a smartphone user and love to take photos, this phone is a godsend! No more deciding between a useful business phone and one that’s fun to use and can take simply wonderful photos. The N73 has one of the best cameras of any phone on the market, with only Nokia’s own N93 and the Sony Ericsson K790 / K800i competing.

Overall, the N73 is very good device, and the Symbian S60 OS justifies the bulky size.

The Nokia N73 is a very ‘complete’ handset. And by that I mean it’s got everything a range of users – from the business work-on-the go user to the younger I-need-a-cool-phone user – will find suitable and enjoy using.

Before I got my hands on the N73 I stated in a review for another site that I considered the Sony Ericsson K800i to be probably the best 3G camera phone on the market, and to some degree that still holds true. You see the problem I face, and one other reviewers and users will no doubt be faced with, is that if you were to ask me which is the better phone I’d say The K800i, however if you asked me which one you should buy I’d say the N73. It isn’t a better phone but it is a better package.

But I still really like the device for its compact form factor, amazing web browser, and good music player. And as such, I still believe that the N73 deserves your consideration when it comes time to choose a new handset. I give it a “Recommended” rating.

N73 is most available device in Nseries line-up, it has almost all latest developments by Nokia, and a very good camera. I have no doubts that this device will become one of most popular in Nseries line-up, perhaps it will not be able to reach Nokia N72’s sales though. In case you’re looking for quality smartphone from Nokia, then N73 will be the right choice for you.

IT Reviews

The N73 is a standard-looking candybar handset with a good range of features and a decent camera. You can get it for free on some contracts, and these factors mean it should appeal to those who value functions but don’t need the bling.

All About Symbian

With the way firmware updates can significantly improve the performance and functionality of a device, especially in these days of DIY updating, it’s tricky to give a one-off verdict. The N73 certainly has potential, and the form factor and general camera capabilities are extremely impressive.

Nokia’s N73 is a good looking and practical phone and one which can also take pretty pictures, wobbly video and play back music. It won’t replace a digital camera for most people or a hi-fi system for anyone with hearing, but provides those functions on the move. It would be most at home in a corporate meeting room, or on the table of a good restaurant, but isn’t ideal for the large- or left-handed.

The lack of native Wi-Fi may dampen the appeal of this unit for some, but even so it remains a solid choice due to its multimedia offerings especially the 3.2 megapixel Carl Zeiss camera at the forefront.

The Nokia N73 offers a high-quality camera phone plus some nice extras in a stylish package, but its sluggish performance keeps us from giving it higher praises.

As always with Series 60 phones, the complexity of the software means that they are usually slow to start, slow when browsing menus, and can be prone to crash.
