The KRZR K1m combines its glossy, skinny self with standard high-end features to create a tantalizing new cell phone package.

The Motorola KRZR K1 comes with differing features which enhance its design & give it the fresh feel it deserves.

The only problem I would see earlier was with the interface, which is now tweaked to acceptability level. It’s a good try but nevertheless it would have been really good if Motorola incorporated an all new OS instead of just tweaking the old one. A good choice for the likes of many models and fashion designers; hope this one doesn’t get a branding like the RAZR and even if it does hope by someone more stylish.

The KRZR should have even wider appeal than the RAZR as it is more unisex in form and more ergonomic to use. Don’t expect the KRZR to excel in the photographic or music departments, but it’s certainly an excellent all-round performer.

Still, overall, you won’t be choosing this phone for its features or its operating system – like the RAZR, this is definitely a fashion phone and in those terms it’s another unqualified success for Motorola.

With a stunning reflective surface and unique slim design, the MOTOKRZR K1 is one of the best looking mobile phones we’ve seen. It’s not all about looks though, as this phone has a generous features list for its asking price.

The KZRZ is rather a fashion-only solution with calls being its main aim.

In summary, the MOTOKRZR is a cool fashion phone that is bound to be a big hit. It’s Motorola’s first new superslim phone for about a year, so is going to have the full weight of the Motorola marketing machine behind it, and is a natural choice for RAZR users looking to upgrade.

In the end, while I didn’t find the K1 to be revolutionary it is a nice evolutionary upgrade of the V3i.

If you’re looking for a stylish clamshell phone then this is a contender, but be warned: the mirrored front is a magnet for fingerprints.

The KRZR packs average features in perfectly looking solid construction, but we’d like better implementation of the features like higher resolution of the screen (QVGA is not science fiction anymore) and auto-focus for the camera.

Ultimately, the Motorola MOTOKRZR K1 is a device that one can get used to with a bit of time and effort, and is a fairly well featured handset when compared to other fashion phones. A great set of built-in applications are helpful, and while I don’t believe the K1 is at the top of its class, I can give it a solid Recommended rating – so long as you can get past the ugly and confusing UI.

Though the GSM Motorola Krzr K1 has a more attractive color scheme than the CDMA Krzr K1m, some feature differences make it mostly comparable with its sibling.

If you are looking for a capable, stylish phone, this could be it. If you want an advanced multimedia player for Web browsing and messaging, you’ll want to keep looking, and RAZR owners are well advised to think carefully before ponying up for the new model.

Simply looking at it won’t allow anyone to fully appreciate the K1 – just like how it was when I first saw pictures of it on its debut. But after I received the actual product, and having spent some time with it, I have certainly come to appreciate just what makes the KRZR K1 unique and special. But the experience was not so grandeur when it came to actually using the product for its intended purpose – that is, as a multi-purpose mobile communications device.

The pity is that Motorola has only improved its aged user interface by few elements from the V3x model leaving plenty of details untouched: the built-in camera is bad, the external display is rather poor, and once again you will find two music players, none of which is really efficient.

There’s nothing necessarily wrong with the new good looking Motorola KRZR K1m. The problem is that there’s nothing new about the K1m either. Motorola’s iconic RAZR V3m offers similar technology and features as the KRZR and despite first-glance evidence to the contrary, is actually smaller and more convenient ergonomically for half the price.

Obvious great looks, small, slim and light. Good call quality and reception, music player and nifty outside touch controls. Those nifty external touch controls are too easy to activate (only happens if music player is currently running though). A bit pricey for what you get.

Motorola’s new flagship phone is undeniably beautiful, but its performance is just average in terms of Verizon’s lineup.

Fundamentally though, all Motorola have done is move the internal components around, put in some upgrades and given the design a makeover.
